After a 30 hour journey we are finally in Brazil! God has been with us every step of the way. From walking through security to flying over the ocean, He has kept us safe! One of the things God has already shown me is that I cannot worry about that kind of stuff. Worrying about whether or not our plane will crash is not going to make it not happen. Unfortunately I have learned this the hard way…by worrying about it. I have to trust that God is in control and He is the one that takes care of us. Moving on to a little more about the Brazilian culture…we landed in Porto Alegre around 6pm, met Daniel and his sons Jon-Paul and Joseph (the missionaries that we are working with this week) and ate at McDonald’s for dinner. I have never had a conversation with a person that speaks a different language than me, so ordering at McDonald’s was so difficult. Thankfully Jon-Paul was there to translate for me. After dinner we hopped on a bus and arrived at our hotel. I am so excited to learn more about Brazil and build relationships with the people of Brazil even though we don’t speak the same language. Tomorrow we go site-seeing, shopping and some hiking! Looking forward to a great day tomorrow!
Peace and Blessings,
